A beautiful poem. Your words brought tears to my eyes. I found myself wondering if I will feel this way when my own mother passes. How does one celebrate the life of a woman who in one moment says "i love you" and in the next admits that she regrets becoming a mother, that motherhood robbed her of her dreams. How would I write a poem to honor my mother. I suppose it would have to be a poem of forgiveness rather than celebration. Your sweet poem has given me reason to think on how I will choose to handle my feelings when my mother's time comes.

thank you
Jan

This is lovely. I have so longed for a poem that broached the "forty" years; being there myself, and in some disequilibrium about age...transitioning from mother to crone, trying to find validity in a world that increasingly shouts i have none. Thank you for your poem....it mirrors those of us "late awakeners" perfectly.

Thank you so much for sharing. I was moved to chills reading your poem! 40 is coming soon. I have been doing quite a bit of inner work and am looking forward to living fully in the moment as much as I can remember to! :)

Thank you for stopping by, Susan!

I too long to live from the home within more and more of the time. My own meditations support me to descend. Have you considered the Home is Always Waiting MP3? Check it out under the audio section of the Product tab. I put it on my meditation playlist to listen to throughout the day on my iPod!

So Beautiful Patricia, I long to live from that home within.. These meditations touched me very deeply. Thank you for sharing them. There are times when words are not needed.. and then there are times when words are becons leading others through the dark. Thank you for your words.

Hi Patricia, hope you are doing well! I started to skim through this the other day when I first received it, and realized I needed to give it more than just a quickie read. Just sat down and Really Read it today. Thanks again; I've always appreciated your ability to word things so invitingly and so beautifully. I'm going to forward it to Scarlett in case she didn't get a chance to see it, too. Sending cyberhugs your way!!
